Public Private Partnership (PPP) is a solution approach for the fulfilment of public tasks. It describes the partnership-based cooperation between the private sector and the public sector.

With the increasing shift of power between the state and the private sector, public-private partnerships are currently gaining immense importance, because companies nowadays play a greater role in society than was previously the case. However, with this position also comes a certain responsibility. Both politics and society increasingly expect companies to act ethically and sustainably. This has given rise to soft laws in the context of so-called corporate social responsibility, i.e., corporate responsibility. Soft laws regulate companies on a voluntary basis. The extent to which companies go beyond the legal minimum is up to them. A distinction is made between preventive and reactionary approaches.
